She was predeceased by: her fathers, Cristobal Ruiz (Cantu) and Gregorio Ruiz; her husband Manuel Rivas, Sr.; and her siblings, George Ruiz and Emma Ruiz.

She is survived by: her sons, Manuel Rivas, Jr. (Sorayda) of Pasadena and George Rivas of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, Abigail Farris (Brandon) of Corpus Christi, Alyssa Rivas and Joshua Gonzales; her great grandchild Darren Colt Meighan; and her siblings, Joe Ruiz (Itza) of McAllen, Michael Ruiz (Delia) of Humble, Texas, Julia Arroyo, Lydia Covarrubias, Chris Sanchez (Ramiro) of Sinton, Texas, Josie Ruiz of Houston and Mary Jane Casanova (Noe) of Kingwood.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel (606 S San Patricio St, Sinton, TX 78387). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
