She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Orta (Camarillo) and Nasario Z. Orta; and her sister Maria M. Ybarra. She is survived by: her husband Paulino O. Vargas of Sinton, Texas; her children, Marco A. Vargas of Sinton, Texas, Chriselda M. Vargas of Sinton and Marissa R. Guzman of Hurst, Texas; and her siblings, Juan J. Orta (Leonor) of Odem, Juan M. Orta (Sandra) of San Antonio, Demecia M. Monreal, Elvira M. Campos and Rosa O. Martinez of Sinton, Texas.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel (606 S San Patricio St, Sinton, TX 78387). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (725 Sodville St, Sinton, TX 78387).
