He is survived by: his children, Hilario "Larry" Chavez of Sinton, Gary Chavez of Sinton, Ruben Chavez of Sinton, Isabel Flores (David) of Sinton and Vera Chavez of Portland; his grandchildren, Robert James Chavez of Sinton, Matthew Ryan Chavez of Sinton, Seth Chavez of Sinton, Kaelyn Chavez of Sinton, Sabrina Maria Flores of Sinton, Ricardo Flores of Sinton, Audryna Flores of Sinton, Julian Flores of Sinton and Miguel Castro of Portland; and his sisters, Esmeralda Gonzales (Manuel) of Victoria, Rosalinda Chavez of Corpus Christi, Irma Morales of Corpus Christi, Beatrice Chavez of Corpus Christi, Mary Ann Chavez of Sinton and Guadalupe Zapata of Sinton. He is also survived by many friends and extended relatives.
