He was predeceased by: his parents, H. E. Boyd and Zelpha Boyd; and his siblings, H. E. Boyd, Jr., Polly Anna Mayfield and Marthanne Boyd.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Larry Mayfield (Jana) of Taft, Ray "Butch" Mayfield (Paulette) of Corpus Christi, Mike Boyd of Colorado, Susan Alva (Luis) of Corpus Christi, Pat Carr (Randy) of Garland, Ann Wilson of Canton and Nancy George.
