With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ella Marie Strickland of Sinton, Texas, born in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Upchurch and Rachel Upchurch; her husband William Roy Strickland; her brother Billy Allen Upchurch; and her son-in-law Mickey Alan Mayfield.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Strickland of Beeville and Lou Ann Mayfield of Conroe; her grandchildren, Chris Mayfield (April) and Kimberly Blue (Robert); and her great grandchildren, London of Conroe, Isabella of Conroe and Cooper of Conroe.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beeville Memorial Park (2521 US-59, Beeville, TX 78102).
