She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Barton and Mary B. Luman Koonce; her husband Frank C. Schmalstieg; her sons, Stephen E. Schmalstieg (Sally) and Frank Schmalstieg (Elizabeth); and her grandsons, S. Jarrett Schmalstieg and William Schmalstieg.
There will no services due to the current pandemic situation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations be made to the South Texas children's home or charity of choice.
