He was predeceased by: his parents, Rita Rivas (Morin) and Librado Rivas; his former wife Leonor DeLeon Rivas; his wife Gracie Castillo; his children, Johnny Rivas, Manuel Rivas, Raul Rivas and Olga Rivas; and his siblings, Paula Martinez, Carolina Cervantes, Santos Rivas, Juan Rivas, Augustine Rivas and Cruz Rivas.
He is survived by: his children, Domingo Rivas, Jr. (Marta), Jose Rivas (Julia) of Houston, Texas, Aurora Simmons (Joe) of Tomball, Mary Lou Lopez of Galena Park, Irma Olivarez (Juan) of Houston, Virginia Zapata (Jesse) of St Paul and Sylvia Rivas of Sinton, Texas; his siblings, Librado Rivas of San Antonio, Alejandro, Manuela Lacebal of California and Refugia "Lupe" Andrist of Lubbock, Texas; and his nephew Eliseo Rivas (Delia) of Sinton, Texas. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
