Martinez of Sinton, Texas; his children, Daniel Martinez, David Esquivel of Sinton and Diana McKinney of New York; his grandchildren, David Esquivel, III, Rolando Barrera, Desiree Aguilar, Ronnie Aguilar, Danielle Martinez, Nate Martinez and Roman Guajardo; and his siblings, Refugio Martinez, Jesus "Chuy" Martinez, Alfredo Martinez, Valdemar Martinez, Alicia Rivas of Sinton, Senaida Ramirez and Antonia Diaz. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
