With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Jean Wilkins of Simonton, Texas, who passed away on June 27, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Lofton and Ida D. Lofton; and her siblings, James, Manuel, Ernest, Johnnie and Williene Lofton Roberts.

She is survived by: her spouse J. E. Wilkins, Jr.; her children, Ernest E. Wilkins (Jelescia) and Williene Katrice Joseph (Keith); her sisters, Shirely Irvin (Willie), Marjorie Mayo (Herman), Brenda Lofton and Ruby Johns; her grandchildren, Ernest Wilkins, Jr. (Karen), Torian Wilkins (Quan) and Sha'Torion Gonzales (Tyson); and her great grandchildren, Torian, Jr., Jaiden, Marhlei, Christian, Stone, Reign and Tarion. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
