We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2023, at the age of 66, Velma Durham of Simms, Texas, born in New Boston, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Clayton Carter and Dorothy Belle Taylor Carter; her daughter Annie Durham; and her sister Carol Gipson. She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Carter (Francine) of Simms, Doyle Carter (Steve Beck) of Texarkana, Texas, Francine "Sam" Carter and Novelle Carter of Atlanta; and her stepdaughters, Marie Autry, Linda Taylor and Jenn Cole. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews, step grandchildren, step great- grandchildren, and special friends.
