It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lottie Louise Burkhalter of Simms, Texas, born in DeKalb, Texas, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Bunger and Suzy Bunger; her husband James Burkhalter; her siblings, Irene, Sissy, Helen, Christine, Lucille, Jack and Bill; her daughters-in-law, Linda Burkhalter and Patricia Burkhalter; and her grandson Philip Burkhalter.

She is survived by : her sons, Charles Burkhalter of New Boston, Lloyd Burkhalter of Waskom and Paul (Tracie Burkhalter); her grandchildren, Caleb, Joel Ariah Burkhalter (Katherine), Jimmy, Anita Nolan, Karen and Brian Davison; her great grandchildren, Christian, Titus, Isaiah, Galadriel Burkhalter (Ellie), Evan, Leah, Lindsey Foster, Samuel and Cami Ellis; and her friends, Kathy, Bobbie Sellers, John Paul Sellers, Fran Minor, Jack and Pauline McKeever. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
