It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer Dale Mears of Simms, Texas, born in Rodessa, Louisiana, who passed away on August 9, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lee Mears and Ora Mears; his wife Johnnie Lou Mears; his son Bruce Mears; his brother Mack Mears; his daughters, Aleta (David May) of Simms and Debbie Mears (Lloyd Coker); his sister Reba Ozymy of Redwater; and his grandchildren, Brittny Cigainero of Redwater, Laine Pickering of Liberty Eylau, Anna Denton of Maud, Caroline May of Simms, Christopher May of Simms and Winter Palmore of Simms. He was also cherished by several great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
