He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Cowan, Sr. and Ida Greathouse Cowan; and his great grandchild Caiman Stroud. He is survived by: his wife Betty Cowan of Simms, Texas; his daughters, Debi Jones of Hooks and Moni Bell of Texarkana, Texas; and his grandchildren, Jason Cartwright, Alisha Culpepper, Casey Jones and Chelsea Stroud. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and numerous other relatives and friends.
