It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Lajuan Davis of Simms, Texas, born in Queen City, Texas, who passed away on July 11, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bryant Ervin and Velma Hill Kinney; and her brother Paul Kinney. She is survived by: her husband Charles W. Davis of Simms, Texas; her children, Delia (Tommy Ray, Sr.), Ellia Schooley of Simms, Texas and Rodney; her daughter-in-law Polly Davis of New Boston, Texas; her siblings, Betty (Gerald Draper), Dolores (Bill Hurst), Diana (Steve Chatnik) and David; her sister-in-law Mary Kinney of Texarkana, Texas; her grandchildren, Sharon (Lyle Butler), Tommy (Tabitha Ray, Jr.), Justin Davis, Prestin (Jessica Davis), Jacob (Bailey Schooley) and Kaleb (Christina Schooley); and her great grandchildren, KayLee Butler, Mattie Butler, Isabella Schooley, Ayden Schooley, Kayson Schooley, Riley Schooley, Marilyn Ray, Grace Davis, Levi Davis, Brady Davis, Emilynn Schooley, Jaceson Schooley and Jaysyn Schooley. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
