He is survived by: his children, Michael Ray Leavings of Orangefield, George (Candi Leavings) and Laura; his son-in-law Dakota Baker; his siblings, Bill Leavings of Cleveland, Texas, Shanti (Troy Whitmire) and Retha Walker of Smithville, Texas; his sister-in-law Donna Minter of Simms, Texas; and his grandchildren, Russell Leavings, Olivia Leavings, Harley Leavings, Shelby Leavings and Harmon Baker. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
