He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Smith Culpepper of Simms, Texas; his daughters, Donna Culpepper of De Kalb, Terresa Hobbs of Elgin and Janice McCorkle of De Kalb, Texas; and his stepdaughters, Liz Henson of Mt. Pleasant, Laurie Cates of Mt. Pleasant and Chrissy Marxsen of Longview, Texas. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren.
