He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Wade Starnes and Eddie Joel Sayers; his sister Ruth Adkins of Grand Saline; and his son David of Indiana. He is survived by: his wife Paula of Grand Saline; his daughters, Judy of Texas and Cathy of California; and his siblings, Florence Choate of Ft. Worth, Jo Ann Petrea (Wayne) of Mineola and Don Sayers (Kathy) of Grand Saline. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
