It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Griffin (Silsbee, Texas), born in Anderson, Alabama, who passed away on December 15, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie Sewell Griffin and Otto Parks Griffin; his former wives, Hilder Mae Griffin and Maudell Griffin; his daughters, Faye Ratcliff, Jane Jordan and Patsy Overstreet; and his siblings, Lewis, Earnest, Roy, Carl, Dennis, Alton, Charles Griffin and Bertha Toler.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Ray Griffin of Wesson, Mississippi, Malinda Pierce of Baton Rouge and Elaine Allen of Oxford, Mississippi; his stepdaughters, Ann Smith of Brookhaven and Mary Mason of Centerville; and his sister Betty Morris of Cullman, Ala. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
