He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Gore and Melvin Leon Spell; and his sister Joan Moss. He is survived by: his wife Linda Spell of Silsbee; his children, Amanda Kay Vail (Michael) of Zavalla and Paul Jason Spell (Melissa) of Fred; his brother L. B. Spell (Gail) of Buna; his grandchildren, Kristen Renee Derryberry of Galveston, Matthew David Vickery of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Hannah Irene Adams (Sky) of Fred and Jacey Noel Spell of Fred; and his great grandchildren, Donald Jackson Derryberry, Dahlia Jolene Derryberry, Dane Jewett Derryberry and Sterling Jax Adams.
