She was predeceased by: her son Robert C. Biggs. She is survived by: her siblings, Bessie Vandergriff Barnes and Bakewell; her daughter Carlette Sandridge (Cary) of Wimberley, Texas; her stepdaughter Deb Earls (Darrell); her granddaughters, Neva Anderson and Alexis Shae Sandridge; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas and Daniel. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A teacher at Red Bank and Soddy Elementary for Hamilton County, she earned a Master of Education from U.T.C. and was awarded the Freedom Foundation Award for Citizenship.
