She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosie Stott Flowers and Charlie Jackson Flowers; her husband Otho Frank Merritt; her children, James Howard Smith and Mary Ann Beshears; and her siblings, Charles Flowers, Bill Flowers, Tommy Flowers, Marie Creel, Louzelle Johnson and Richard Flowers.
She is survived by: her son Kenneth Merritt of Silsbee; her grandchild Mistie Angelo (Jeff) of Montgomery; her great grandchildren, Zachary Angelo (Becca), Nicolas Angelo and Zoe Angelo; her great great grandchild Ollie Angelo; and her sister Ruth Alexander of Buna.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Pentecostal Church-Silsbee (1420 N 5th St, Silsbee, TX 77656). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at the Antioch Cemetery-Buna (1850 FM 1004, Buna, TX 77612).
