She was predeceased by: her parents, Vallie Smith and A. W. Smith; and her siblings, Albert Smith, Jr., Aline English, Ruby Sherman and Louise McGill.
She is survived by: her husband James C. "J. C."; and her children, James "Jimmy" Owens, Jr. (Ann) of Silsbee, Ronnie E. Owens (Elaine) of Fort Collins, Colorado and Suzanne Owens McDonald (Brian) of Silsbee. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother.
