He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Reynolds Armstrong and Lloyd Thomas Armstrong; his siblings, Glen Armstrong and Mary Allen; and his nephew Greg Farmer.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Armstrong; his stepdaughters, Amanda Orta (Gabe) of Friendswood and Christina Qualls (Greg) of League City; his stepgranddaughter Cecilia Orta; and his sisters-in-law, Lillian Armstrong of Lufkin and Fran Gallion (Paul Jr.) of Wildwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
