With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvah Arthur Calloway of Silsbee, Texas, who passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Estelle Conoway and Edward Earle Callaway; his wife Alice Louise Calloway; and his brothers, Dalton Callaway, Lonnie Callaway, Marshall Callaway, Jessie Callaway, Hunter Callaway and Hermon Callaway.
He is survived by: his children, Fran Smith (Sonny) of Mauriceville and Ken Calloway (Kathy) of Silsbee; his grandson Daniel Houghton (Kelli) of Orange; his children, Chris Houghton (Trina) of Warren, Justin Calloway (Megan) of Lumberton and Kody Calloway of Houston; and his great grandchildren, Emily Houghton, Mason Houghton, Kaitlyn Houghton, Caleb Houghton, Ethan Calloway and Avery Calloway.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Family and Friends Broussard's Mortuary (490 Cemetery Rd, Silsbee, TX 77656). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Broussard's (490 Cemetery Rd, Silsbee, TX 77656).
