He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Metcalf and Louise Metcalf; his son Derek H. Metcalf; and his sister Catherine Buesing. He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Ray Metcalf Jr. (Katie) and Tiffany Lumpkin (Bobby); his grandchildren, Carlton Billingsley, Tallan Metcalf (Nena), Russell Metcalf, Tara Pierce (Josh), Victoria Kirkland, Austin Metcalf, Hailey Metcalf, Autumn Lumpkin and Dustin Lumpkin; and his great grandchild Along. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eastern European Mission via the Huntsville Church of Christ or individually.
