It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Letha Spakes of Shiner, Texas, born in Wortham, Texas, who passed away on July 7, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lacy, Sr. and Ida Belle Sterling (Pope); her husband Alfred Billy Spakes, Sr.; her brothers, William Sterling Jr. and Billy Ray Sterling; her daughter Linda Scheumack; and her grandchildren, Dena, Natalie, Darlynn and Nathaniel Scheumack (Colt).

She is survived by: her children, Alfred Billy Spakes Jr., Jimmy Lance Spakes, Sr. (Jane), Rexford Lee Spakes (Sandi), Larry Dean Spakes, Jackie Rena, Burgh (Jeff) and Sandra Elaine Humphreys; and her sister Carol Ann Johnson (Pete). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
