We bid farewell to George Simper (Shiner, Texas), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 6, 2024 at the age of 90. George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Simper and Adella Simper (Darilek); his mother-in-law Ruth Fehr; his former wife Georgie Simper (Berger); his sister VirgiLee Simper; his grandson Jeremy Raz; and his great grandchild Emma Grace Heimann.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Simper (Fehr) of Yoakum; his children, Denise Raz (Ricky) of Yoakum, James Simper (Dee) of Houston, Betsy Weise (Mark) of Shiner, Monica Hanzel (James-Bear) of Cedar Park, Donna Marburger (Stanley) of Yoakum, Pam Zimmerman (Jeff) of Victoria, Morgan Satterfield (Daryl) of Shiner and Trevor Simper (Melody) of Meyersville; and his siblings, Willie Simper (Margie) of Gonzales, David Simper of Moulton, Mary Ann Havel (Curtis) of San Antonio, Jeanie Michalec of San Antonio and Dani Vana (Allen) of Katie. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Shiner Catholic School.
