He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Hopson and Eula Sue Hopson; and his siblings, Stanley, Richard, Charles Hopson, Carol Jean Holder and Paula Hopson.
He is survived by: his daughter Tona Shiplet (James) of Whitewright; his siblings, Larry Hopson of Sherman, Reba Hopson, Donna Brown, Pam Hurley, Beverly Hopson and Sharon Kring; and his granddaughters, Rebekah Fenner (George) of Whitewright and Robyn Shiplet of Whitewright.
