He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Stanley Carter and Beatrice Jackson Carter; and his brother Daniel Wayne Carter. He is survived by: his wife Malinda Ann Carter of Sherman, Texas; his daughter Melanie Grammar (Don) of Whitewright, Texas; his stepson Jack Hopper (Merry) of Aubrey, Texas; his grandchildren, Courtney Hopper, Tifany Jeakins (Travis), Brian Grammar and Mark Torres (Courtney); and his great grandchildren, Paisley Haige, Stella Jeakins, Beck Jeakins and Zachary Grammar.
