In loving memory of Mary Irene Edwards of Sherman, Texas, who departed this world on April 22, 2025 at the age of 102. Mary leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Clyde O'Bar and Delila Lutacia Griffin O'Bar; her husband James; her son Jimmy Clyde Edwards; her grandsons, Dennis, Johnny, Jeremy Dean Edwards and Timothy Clinton Edwards; and her siblings, George O'Bar, Charles O'Bar, Lorene Taylor, Aletha Ciaccio, Dema Harris, Edna Campbell, Donna Holert and Winona Holland.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Dan Edwards (Jan) of Burleson, TX, Mary Kay Thomas of Bonham, TX, Timothy Dean Edwards of Denison, TX, Charlette Ann Edwards of Denison, TX and Carol Edwards of New Market, TN. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 42 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waldo Funeral Home (619 N Travis St, Sherman, TX 75090). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Cedarlawn Memorial Park (5805 Texoma Pkwy, Sherman, TX 75090). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall (2401 S College Blvd, Denison, TX 75020).
