She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gibson and Thelma Gibson (Franklin); her husband Charles Preston Newsom; her sons, Charles and Gregory Newsom; and her siblings, Serenia, Maria, Wynona, Norma, Sonny, Amos and Clayton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Newsom of Sherman and Cheryl Jimenez (Macario) of Denison, Texas.; her grandchildren, Amanda Jimenez, Carolina Anderson, Maria Pinal, Juanita Gomez and Chelesea O'Neal; and her great grandchildren, Marianna Pinal, Cristian Yanez, Yanellie Gomez, Kaleb Wilson, Alexis Wilson, Estella McGilviery, Keaton Taylor and Jaxon Taylor.
