He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Heppel and Chrystal Heppel (Petty); his siblings, Gerald, James, Donald, Daniel Heppel and Naomi Bode; his son Derek Heppel; and his granddaughter Stacy Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanetta Heppel of Sherman, TX; his children, Ruth Heppel Werner (Regina Werner) of Augusta, KS, Miki Merelli of Pottsboro, TX, Lisa Henneman of Frisco, TX and Dirk Heppel (Teresa); his sister-in-law Rosetta Heppel of Stillwater, OK; his brother Dale Heppel (Cindy); and his grandchildren, Erin, Jacob, Joe, Jessica, Rachel, Haylee, Brent, Kyle, Karli, Taylor, Eli, Brandon, Bryan and Casey. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, other extended family and friends.
