He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Floyd, Etta Parker, Drew and Marie Barnes; and his mother-in-law Carolyn Vaught.
He is survived by: his parents, James E. Newman and Stella Parker Newman; his son James Michael; his wife Margaret Vaught; his sister Roxanne Soliz (Jesse) of Sherman; his father-in-law Paul Vaught, Jr. (Sylvia); his siblings-in-law, Susan Stockstill (Ray), Christina Dupont (Chris) and Paul Vaught III (Rachel) of Baton Rouge, LA; and his aunts and uncles, Richard Barnes (Mary) of Franklin, TN, Meda Beaty (Ted) of Collinsville, TX, Neta Krause (Tom) of Collinsville, TX, Sonny Parker of Gainesville, TX and Charles Cottrell (Wanda) of Sherman. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas.
