It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Earnest Powell of Sherman, Texas, born in McKinney, Texas, who passed away on March 22, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Powell and Ethel Powell (Lee); and his siblings, Clifford Powell and Laura Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Holly Lankford of Sherman, TX; his children, Greg Powell, Shelly of Indiana, Jenny Watson, Mark of Dallas, TX, Valerie and Garrett Adams of Dallas, TX; his brother Alton Powell (Foncie); and his grandchildren, Henry, Jack Powell, Emily Hundley, Claire Browning and James Powell. He is also survived by his loving wife, family and friends.
