He is survived by: his sisters, Minneola, Nancy, Ruby and Nadine; his former wife Mary Katheryn Kelly; his children, Charles and Ann; his former wife Sue Whitley; his wife Dorothy Tapson; his siblings, James Covington and Susan Gudgel; his grandchildren, Christopher, Kaitlyn and Caroline; and his stepsons, Rodney and Dennis.
