She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Margaret Vaught Newman (James) of Sherman and Susan Vaught Stockstill (Ray) of Baton Rouge; her pet Pekingese; her daughter Ruby; her parents, Dr. James Clarke Cornette, Jr. and Margaret Foard Cornette; her sisters, Frances Cornette Phillips (Fred) of Sherman and Sally Cornette Laughlin of Richardson; her nephews, Allen Phillips of Plano and David Laughlin of Dallas; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Lilah, Ryan, Simon Phillips, London, Jones and Clarke Laughlin; and her friends, Linda Clarke, Debbie Lindsay Paige, Sipriano Gonzales and Darla Williamson James.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Denison Animal Welfare Group (DAWG).
