She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Cook and Lou Belle Cook (Burk); and her daughter Karen Renee Hill. She is survived by: her husband Bill of Sherman; her stepchildren, Bobby Cowan of New Braunfels, Daniel Cowan of Sherman, Jerry Pruitt of Houston and Kelley Bliznak of Abilene; her sisters, Carol Thomas of Sherman and Helen Hall of Tom Bean; and her sister-in-law Lanette Cook of Fort Worth. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sherman Animal Care and Control.
