He was predeceased by: his parents, Meral August Viets and Alma Louise Viets (Farthing). He is survived by: his wife June Viets; his son Carl Wayne Viets (Heather); his brother Michael M Viets; and his grandchildren, Mitzie Prince (Darrell), Christopher Viets, Jimmy Viets (Esther), Kelly, Chris, Waylon, Angela and Katelyn.
