He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lovett and Gracie Elizabeth Lovett (Love); his brother William; and his wife Vicki Joyce Barton of Highlands. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew Barton Lovett and John R. Lovett, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Kelli; his grandson Jack Lovett; his sister Maxine Lovett McDaniel; his sister-in-law Bernell Lovett; his nieces, Mary Ann Pittman (Doug) and Linda Dornburg (Billy); his nephew Lyle Lovett (April); and his friend Valarie Towler. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, and lifelong, steadfast friends.
