He is survived by: his children, Joshua Gil Silva of Cleveland, Gill Ramon Silva (Carissa) of Baytown, Moses Gonzalez of Pasadena, Gilbert Silva Jr. (Jill) of Phoenix, Arizona, Kathylynn Bonnie Harris (Marvin) of Cleveland, Michelle Santos Silva (Rigoberto) of Cleveland, Kimberly Ruth Norris (Alec) of Porter, Ruthy Rodarte (Teo) of El Paso and Angela Garcia (Emigdio) of Karker Heights, Texas; and his grandchildren, Isabella Ana Escutia, Ariel Maria Escutia, Victoria Escutia, Desiree Escutia, Diego Escutia, Shawn Michael Kern Silva, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Silva, Alec Durrett Norris Jr., Joseph Silva, Malachi Silva, Alliyah Silva, Arrayah Silva, Ruth Rodarte and Isaac Rodarte.
