He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Lee Bagley; his siblings, Ann Shields and Fred Smith; and his daughter Dolores "DeeDee" Bagley. He is survived by: his children, Donna Hines, Leon McGee (Carolyn), Sheila Waters, Roger McGee, Becky Hagen (Ward), Jerry McGee (Adale), Donald Bagley Jr. (Shay), Angela Huffmaster (Charles) and Jeffrey Bagley (Mindy); and his brother Curtis Smith. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
