He was predeceased by: his father Leon Spruell; his grandparents, Eddie and Claudia Lewis; and his son Billy Spruell, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Betty Lewis Spruell; his wife Carlene Spruell; his daughter Janette Mathis (Kevin Mathis); his brother Charles Spruell (Vangie Spruell); his grandchildren, Megan Garcia (John Carlo Garcia), Taylor Mathis, Chase Mathis, Jordan Mathis, Maddie Liles and Greyson Mathis; and his great grandchild Maverick Mathis. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
