She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Allen and Evelyn Ruth Allen (McGinty); her husband Bruce Carter; her siblings, J. T. "Bubba" Allen Jr. and Marilyn Allen; her siblings-in-law, Calvin Allen and Iris Allen; and her great grandchild David Michael Patterson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pegie Diane Whitaker of Austin, Cathy Carter Smith of Shelbyville and Kayla Carter Bartle (David) of Whitehouse, Texas.; her grandchildren, Jason Patterson, Sean Patterson, Kris Maxwell, James "Bo" Smith (Chantel), Michael Bartle (Julie), Joseph Bartle, Amanda Bartle Tackett (Steven), Caitlan Bartle and Cassidy Bartle; her great grandchildren, Cheyene Patterson, Dustin Patterson, Tiffany Patterson, Marshall Wayne Patterson, Triston Smith, Karista Smith, Rilynn Smith, Hayden Matthews, Caylen Matthews, Preston Tackett, Joe Bartle, Eli Bartle and Memphis Bartle; and her nieces and nephews, Shirlene Darnold (Victor), Terry Allen (Jan), Michael Allen and Cal "Kip" Allen (Debbie).
