He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcell Stone and Sammie Gene Smith; and his grandparents, U. L. and Fern Strickland. He is survived by: his wife Connie Smith of Shelbyville; his siblings, Stephen Smith (Edith) and Rhonda Smith; his cousin David Worsham; and his brother-in-law Luke Clark. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
