He is survived by: his mother Lue Rodrick Sims; his wife Debbie Sims; his children, Melody Vaughn, Chris Vaughn and Brent Sims; his grandchildren, Dexter Vaughn (Brianna), Austin Vaughn, Mallory (Tony Garcia) and Logan Sims; his great grandchild Adalynn Ann Vaughn; his siblings, Rickie Sims (Mary), Benny Sims (Barbara) and Margie (James Estes); his siblings-in-law, Connie Fletcher, Cathy Lee, Patricia Bush, Donna Penny (Bobby) and Danny Windham (Vonda); and his close friend Ashley Hines of Covington's Lumber.
