She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Lee and Deice Wilson Bryant; her spouse Clyde Benton; her siblings, Everett, Johnny, Junior Bryant, May Poole, Annie Nation and Leila Myers; her children, LaDana Sue Baker, Tawanna Faylyn Kennedy, Travis Clyde Benton and Tommy Carl Mulkey; her grandson Jackie Lee Starkey; and her great grandchild Cooper Michael Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Rosa Shorpshire of Memphis, Tresa Alston (Ronald) of Hedley, Debora Wynn (Randall) of Memphis, Debbie Huntress (Mark) of Wellington and James Benton (Felecia) of Spring; and her daughter-in-law Jennifer Mulkey of Arkansas. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
She requested that any donations be made to the National Drowning Prevention Alliance or the Calvary Baptist Church.
