With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jennie Florine Kohanek of Shallowater, Texas, born in Marlin, Texas, who passed away on October 5, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Cass and Genevieve Cass; her sons, David and Bryan; and her siblings, Keith Cass, James Cass and Roberta Voight.

She is survived by: her husband Edward Russell Kohanek; and her children, Diana Best (Jo), Jennie Tindol (Tim), Steve Kohanek (Waynette), Keith Kohanek (Teresa) and Jennifer Thurman (Curtis). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren, plus several nieces and nephews.
