She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Sawyer and Ethel Sawyer (Blassingame); her brothers, Robert and Marlin; and her son Mark Ashley.

She is survived by: her husband Billy Royce Ashley; her daughter Chris Lawson (Dale) of Floydada; her granddaughter Jennifer Scroggins (Brandon) of Lubbock; and her great grandchildren, Kalli Workman, Brinlee and Nolan Scroggins.
