With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Homer Pennington Jr. of Shady Shores, Texas, who passed away on November 4, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Dillon Tunnicliff and James Homer Pennington, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Elizabeth Galbraith; his children, Mike Pennington, Leah Ann Madewell (Mark) and Dean Pennington (Jill); his grandchildren, Jake Madewell (Megan), Nicholas Pennington (Emily), Jenny Marable (Patrick), Lauryn Pennington, Daven Pennington and Jared Pennington; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Jaxon, Kenadee, Lincoln and Rowan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors (2025 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lake Shore Baptist Church (276 E Hundley Dr, Lake Dallas, TX 75065). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at the Swisher Cemetery (607 N Shady Shores Rd, Lake Dallas, TX 75065).
