She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Shumate and Maude Tucker Shumate. She is survived by: her children, Pete (Sue Winn), Clarence (Linda Winn), Kyle (Dee Winn) and Carlene (Don Gulley); and her grandchildren, Jeremy Winn, Katie Fortenberry, Dustin Winn, Sara Pribyla, Emily Riordan, Holly Clabaugh, Dusty Fry, Cody Fry, Brett Gulley and Lori LeMay. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Red Springs Baptist Church.
